The Adobe Format
The Adobe Format can be used on any system. Normally the pfa format is used
on Macs, pfb is more common on Amigas and PCs.
Each directory contains the following files:
- #?.abf: Screen font
- #?.afm: Font metrics
- #?.pfb: Font in binary format (adobe type 1)
- #?.pfa: Font in ascii format (adobe type 1)
- ~(#?.#?) : Printer-Font (adobe type 3)
- #?.tfm: LaTeX metrics
