Crippleware The word Crippleware tells you that software is not working. This seems to be a bad idea and in fact it is! Why do people create Crippleware? Because they want to make shareware, but they have the idea that many people don't want to have themselves registered. So, they deliberately create a mistake. In order to neutralize this, you are forced to have yourself registered. No pay, no program. A few Crippleware examples: a game you simply cannot win without a keyword. A database or a processor that lacks printer facilities. Sometimes frustrated users have themselves registered. But in general, this is a rather nasty business. For it's difficult enough to have programs function commonly, without sabotage!
