Freeware: a group for free in software!

But it is no Public Domain. It is in copyright,
so you are not allowed to change it; so you get
what the maker meant with it. Often it is more 
reliable than Public Domain, as you will understand!

A Freeware maker keeps his/her product under 
control and the maker is the one to decide who
is allowed to distribute the software; he/she 
might even forbid distribution!

Freeware can be compared to flying a balloon: 
the maker tries to focus attention to himself by
means of his product.
