From: BOB RIEMENSCHNEIDER Computer-Designed Quilts at AMQT Another museum is the American Museum of Quilts and Textiles in San Jose (766 South 2nd Street, San Jose, CA 95112, ph. 415-971-0323). They are open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 to 4 and Sundays from noon to 4. This month they have an exhibit of quilts made by two quilters who used computers to design their patterns. One woman created her own quilt program to handle the designing. Her quilts have a sort of "kaleidescope" quality to them. The other woman, I think, used Adobe Illustrator. Her quilts have a lot of optical illusions and dimension. The quilts are very interesting and the two techniques produced very different quilts.
