DEV:Prayer Guide

   Jesus taught us how to pray, using the Lord's prayer as a guide, or
outline for your daily prayer time. This outline will help you to
understand the full meaning of the Lord's prayer, and use it more
effectively in your prayers.

   I. OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE YOUR NAME

   A. Recall Calvary with praise. Thank God you can call him "Father"
by virtue of Christ's finished work on the cross. (Rom.8:15) B. Hallow
(Honor) the names of God as revealed in Scripture, speaking each
according to your need.

   Sin Jehovah-Tsidkenu Jehovah our Righteousness Comfort
Jehovah-Shalom Jehovah is Peace Jehovah-Shammah Jehovah is there
Soundness Jehovah-Rophe Jehovah Heals Provision Jehovah-Jireh Jehovah's
Provision shall be seen Security Jehovah-Rohi Jehovah my Shepherd.

   II. YOUR KINGDOM COME, YOUR WILL BE DONE

   A. Yourself B. Your family (mate, children, other family members) C.
Your church (Pastor, leadership, faithfulness of people, harvest) D.
Nation (city, state, political and religious leaders, harvest

   III. GIVE US TODAY OUR DAILY BREAD

   A. Be in the will of God (church service, obedience in giving) B.
Believe it is God's will to provide for your needs. C. Be specific D.
Be tenacious

   IV. FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS

   A. Confess your sins and ask God to forgive you. B. Forgive and
release others C. Set your will to forgive those who sin against you in
the future

   V. AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, BUT DELIVER US FROM THE EVIL ONE

   A. Put on the whole armor of God 1. Belt of truth around waist 2.
Breastplate of Righteousness 3. Feet fitted with the readiness of
Gospel of Peace 4. Shield of Faith 5. Helmet of Salvation 6. Sword of
the Spirit/Word of God.

   B. Pray a hedge of protection 1. Claim God as your secure
foundation, a fortress against your enemies. A stronghold in the time
of trouble 2. Ask God to avenge you against your adversary

   VI. FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY, FOREVER

   A. Simply close your prayer with praise and worship, giving God the
glory he deserves.
