The condition, although rare, is being recognized with increasing frequency in persons with the human immunodeficiency virus. Clinical genitourinary involvement is unusual. We present a case of renal abscess for Aspergillus fumigatus in a patient with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome who complained of flank pain and fever.
