ACTRAISER
Professional Mode - After you finish the game, go to the title screen and push DOWN until a 'Professional' mode appears. This will let you play only the game action scenes.
Hidden 1-Ups - There are 1-Ups hidden in the areas of Bloodpool and Kasandora. You can make them surface by controlling the elements. Create a rain shower in the woods that are located northeast of the lake in Bloodpool. After the storm, the villagers will uncover an artifact which they will offer to you. This Source of Life will act as a 1-Up. Once you have washed away the sand in the north and uncovered a pyramid, create an earthquake. The walls of the pyramid will collapse and reveal a life giving artifact.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY
Extra Lives - Go to the password option on the title screen and enter the numbers: 11111. You will start the game in the hall of stairs and the counter will read 00, but after you die once, it will read 99.
Incredible Codes - Go to the password option screen and enter these pass codes:
		   B&1&B -  80 lives, 5 hearts, and Granny & Pugsley rescued.
		   71117 - 100 lives, 3 hearts, and a sword.
		   W111W - 100 lives, 4 hearts, and a sword.

Secret Doors and Power-Up Room - Once you start the game, go in the hall of stairs and then proceed to the left. Once you are past the last door to the left, push UP and there will be a secret door that leads to Pugsley's Den. Go through the 2nd secret door and you will be 'Behind the Stairs.'  
Four Extra 1-Ups - Once your game is over and the Continue/Quit Screen appears, go all of the way to the left of the screen instead of going through one of the two doors. You will enter a secret room that contains four 1-Ups. If you want to get the Continue/Quit Screen faster, press START while in play, and then press SELECT for the option to quit.
Snap Thing's Fingers - At the opening sequence, you can push the L and R buttons to make Thing snap his fingers.

ARCANA
Chapter Select - To start your game with an increase in hit points and experience points, go to the title screen and press these buttons in this order: DOWN, SELECT, SELECT, X, Y, SELECT, SELECT, L button, R button, SELECT, SELECT, LEFT, RIGHT, UP and then press A to start at Chapter 2, B for Chapter 3, X for Chapter 4, and Y for Chapter 5.  (Note: When using the Chapter Select, remember that it will only jump you to the next chapter, increase your hit points, experience, etc. However, items that are needed to complete the game may not be able when you do the trick.) 
Music Test - For a music test, go to the title screen, hold the L and R buttons and then press B. 

CASTLEVANIA IV
Invisible Staircase - Go to the last level with the staircase before Dracula. Jump off the edge of the platform and you will land on an invisible staircase. Go all the way to the left and power-ups will drop, giving you all you need to defeat Dracula.
Extra Pork Chops - On level 9, just hop on any treasure chest 255 times to receive extra meat.

CONTRA III
Sound Test - (Japanese version) At the title screen, press RIGHT and DOWN very quickly while rapidly pressing the X button until you hear a ringing sound. Then the sound test screen will appear.
Double Weapon - If you have a rapid fire control pad, you can do this trick. First, start the game and put the rapid fire on the X button. You will see the weapons at the top of the screen change back and forth very rapidly. Once you get two different weapons, you will see that you can use both of them at the same time. (The flame thrower does not work with this trick.)

DARIUS TWIN
49 Extra Ships - Plug in controller 2. On the option screen, hold the L and R buttons on controller 2 and press SELECT and START on controller 1. This will give 1 or 2 players 49 lives.
No Enemy Demo - Get the high score and enter your initials as ZZT. Wait for the demo and there will be no enemies when your ships appear.
Safe Spot - In the first level, place your ship above the last three digits of your score and nothing will hit you until you meet the Boss.

F1-ROC
Hidden Course - Choose 'Start' on the title screen. Get past the player select screen and choose 'Training' in the Config screen. When the course screen comes up, highlight and choose the MONACO course. Do all of the changes you want to your car and start the race. While you are racing, look carefully for a body of water that comes to a point between two gray barriers. Once you find this, get up to top speed (turn around and come back if necessary) and head for the water. If you place your car just right, you will be able to run your car on the water without falling in. Search for a significant opening from the water to green grass. Once you get to this, you will see that it leads to a new course that is not even on the map.
Music Test - First, bring up the Name Register Screen. Next, input your initials as 'OTO' and push START and the Music Test Screen will appear. 

FINAL FIGHT
Option Mode - At the title, hold L button and press START.

F-ZERO
Gain Lap Time - Get a Super Jet and head to the left, after passing the finish line. Activate the Super Jet right before you reach the jump ramp and quickly angle to the right to fly to the other side of the track.
Master Class - Choose Expert Class and complete all five courses of any of the three leagues, placing first, second or third. You will be rewarded by entering the Master Class.

GRADIUS III
Extra Credits - At the title screen, press X very rapidly. If you are fast enough, you will get nine credits.
Arcade Mode - Go to the option mode and when in Game Level, press the A button rapidly until 'Arcade' mode appears.
30 Extra Ships - At the title screen, hold LEFT on the pad and press the A button three times. When you start, you will have 30 ships.
Trick Full Power-Up - Pause the game and press UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, L button, R button, L button, B, A and START.
Real Full Power-up - Pause the game and press UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, L button, R button, L button, R button, B, A and START.
Random Weapons - Start a one player game and go into the Edit mode under weapon select. Once in Edit Mode, press RIGHT and select your weapons. Once in this selection, press the X and Y buttons repeatedly and the system will automatically choose the weapons for you at random.
Bonus Stages - There are bonus stages in Stages 2, 3 and 4. The entrance to bonus area of Stage 2 is at the bottom of the screen. When you fly into the section that is lined with a blue, liquid substance, look for a hole and dive into it. You will appear in an area that is filled with breakable pink orbs. Clear them away for several point producing devices. In order to enter the bonus area in Stage 3, you must destroy all the guns on the ground. Fly up close to the low rock ceiling and you will make your way into the bonus area. The entrance to bonus area in Stage 4 is a Moia statue, fly into the back of a Moia statue on the ground. Make sure that none of the Power-Ups are highlighted on the bar at the bottom of the screen.
Super Demo - At the intro screen, hold A button until the demo starts.
Reset From Controller - Hold buttons L, R and START at the same time and then press SELECT.

HOLE IN ONE GOLF
Hole In One Codes - To see a hole in one, go to the 'Memory Shot' option and enter: CQJB83CFDFJ#H?LBBT7BJCF or B!5B9GB5SFGB3J5BB?GBMYQ
Metal Woods - Go to the screen where you will enter your name and put in METAL PLAY as your name.

HYPERZONE
Sound Test - At the title screen, hold the L and R buttons and press START.

JOE & MAC
Max Out Your Lives - Go into a level that has a 1-Up in it. Finish the stage and go back in it. Find the 1-Up, collect it, then press START and SELECT to get out of the level.
Extra 1-Ups - Collect a key and go to the first blue spot on the map. Once in this bonus round, catch all of the meat that is dropped from the sky. A 1-Up will fall. Do not catch it. Let it fall and four 1-Ups will appear in its place.
Get Back In Dinosaur - If you die in the last stage (inside the dinosaur), you can continue back inside by going to the last stage on the map and pressing START, then SELECT.
Hidden Levels - In levels 8 and 9, there are red eggs. Make sure there are no enemies on the screen, and then crack them. You will be transported to hidden stages.

Close Up Trick - At the title screen, hold any button and press START (a few times) to get past the screens. The screen will go blank and then you will see a close view of your fans. Just let go of the button you were holding to start the game.

Secret Options Screen - To get an extra options screen, go to the option screen with controller one and highlight 'EXIT' but do not press any button. POPULOUS
Level Select - Choose a 'Conquest' game, and click on the Pause icon. Move the cursor onto the world map, then hold down L and press A. Release these buttons. Next, while holding down R, push and release Y, B, X, A, and SELECT. Release R and click on Armageddon. Now, enter the Setup menu and choose 'Conquest.' Inside the Conquest menu, press the X and B buttons to select any level in the game.

RIVAL TURF
Secret Warp Trick - To do this, you must have 30 or more defeated enemies, represented by small heads that appear above your energy meter. (The number 10 represents 10 enemies.) Once you get to the part of the fourth level where there is a door, press UP at the first door to go into it. You will warp to the end of level 4 to face the boss.
Change Character Names - To do the trick, you must first play through the game and get the high score of that game. When the screen comes up to enter your name, put in CHRCONF as your name, and you will be brought to a character configure screen that will allow you alter the name of all the characters in the game. Once you press START for a game with your new characters.

SIM CITY
More Maps - Go to 'Start New City' on the menu and choose any map from 1 to 999. 'OK' the map you want. Go into the map and choose the 'Go to Menu'icon at the top of the screen. Do not save. Choose 'Start New City' again on the menu screen. The same map that chose earlier will turn out to be a different map with the same number. This gives you a total of 1998 maps instead of 999.
Bonus Gift Trick - Pick a land with plenty of water in it. Do not pick an island, but pick a land with water near the middle. Find the middle of the land and make roads that form a cross all of the way to the map edge of your land. Do not connect the cross in the middle of the water, or the trick will not work. Once you make a cross with these roads near a body of water, you will be able to build anywhere from two to five casinos or amusement parks.
Instant Cash - Unload all your money, set the tax rate at zero, and wait until the end of the year. When the Budget Screen appears, hold down the L button and exit the screen. Quickly re-enter the Budget Screen while still holding L button to boost all your funding levels to 100%. $999,999 is yours.

SMART BALL
Level Jump - Once the title screen appears, wait for it to tell you to push the START button. Next, enter the code as follows: UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, B, A, SELECT and then START. Now, instead of having to start on level 1-A, you can start anywhere up to level 4-A.

STREET FIGHTER II
Character vs. Character - When the Capcom logo fades in, press these buttons in this order: DOWN, R button, UP, L button, Y, B, X, and A before the logo fades out. You will hear musical tones if the code worked.  Now, when you press START, the title screen will turn blue instead of the normal color, black. Now, when you choose vs. mode, two players will be able to choose the same character. Also, when you start a one player game, the players you fight against will be a different alter ego color.
Configure Screen - To get the configure screen, lose a match in the 1 player mode or fight in the 2 player mode. After the match is over, hold the SELECT button in the player selection screen. After you have chosen your options, stages, etc., you will get the configure screen when you press START.
Ken vs. Same Color Computer Ken - Start a one player game and let the computer pick Ryu for you. You will automatically be flown to Ken's stage. Once you get to Ken's stage, press START button on controller 2 and choose Ken. When you get into Ken's stage, wait until the time runs out for all four rounds. After four rounds, Ryu's defeated face will be shown.  Continue by pressing START on controller 2. Once you press START on controller 2, you will be brought to Ken's stage and you will be fighting Ken vs. Ken. You will be playing on the right side of the screen.  Version 2: Combine this code with Character vs. Character trick and you can play using the alternate colors.
Ryu vs. Same Color Computer Ryu - Choose Dhalsim and go to Ryu's stage in Japan. Instead of fighting him, hit START on controller 2. If he flies to any other stage than Ryu's, this trick will not work. Once you get to Ryu's stage, press START on controller 2 and you will get back to the player selection screen. On controller 2, choose Blanka,and when you get back in Ryu's stage,  sit for 4 rounds. After you asked to continue, press START on controller 1 and then pick Ryu as your character. You will be starting on the left side of the screen.  Version 2: Combine this code with Character vs. Character trick and you can play using the alternate colors.

SUPER ADVENTURE ISLAND
Round Select Trick - After the title screen comes up, wait for the cinematic story of Master Higgin's girlfriend being turned into stone.  When it appears, press START.  The title screen will show up for the second time.  At this point, hold the L button, the RIGHT on the pad, and the X button.  With all of these held, press START.  Then, the round select screen will appear. 

SUPER BATTLETANK
Super Bullets - To destroy your enemies with only one of your machine gun shots, start a game and go to a place that youcan confront an enemy. Once you have an enemy in your sights, switch your weapon to machine guns and start shooting. Once your target is hit, pause the game. The target should still be taking hits and will blow up. Timing is critical. 

SUPER GHOULS AND GHOSTS
Stage Select and Sound Test - Plug in controller 2. Go to the option screen and move the cursor to the exit. Instead of exiting, hold button L and START at the same time on the second controller and press START on the first controller. You will find yourself on a special screen in which you can select stages, areas, sound effects and music.
Change the Music - Enter the option screen and use the trick shown above. Go to the sound select menu and look through D5-EA. These are music selections for the game. Select on of the music tracks and then select B5. When you press the button to hear it, the music will change from the normal instruments to drum beats. You can do this with any music in the sound select menu.

SUPER MARIO WORLD
Secret Power-Up Room - Get the cape and go into the first ghost house in world 2. Run left and fly straight up the left side of the screen. Land on the platform and run to the right. You will see four blocks with 1-Up mushrooms and a door. Finish the level and a hidden dot will appear on the map. Power-up in this hidden room, then go back in for another 1-Up.
Bonus Items - At the end of every level of play, try carrying a turtle shell, a P-Block or an enemy through the high bar and into the next round. It will turn into a power-up item that you may either use at that time or save for later.
Get Back in Castles - When your character is on top of the castle in map screen, just press the L and R buttons at the same time and you will be able to enter.
99 Mario Trick - You must have Cape Mario to do this trick. Go to the level in world 6. Get the P-Block and go down the gray tube. Once in the gray tube, grab the second P-Block and jump off the edge. Hug the right wall until you see the seventh opening in the wall that is filled with 1-Up mushrooms. Float into the passage and grab the 1-Ups. When you come out of the tube, go to the left and repeat this for 99 lives.
Lots of 1-Ups - Whenever you are in a room with the Tic-Tac-Toe blocks that must show three O's in a row for a 1-Up, just hit all the blocks from the side by using Super Mario's cape, and you'll always get a 1-Up.

SUPER OFF-ROAD
Unlimited Continues - Plug in both controllers and select a two player game. Play as the red truck, but let the blue truck stand still. When the race ends, you will be in third place, which will automatically put you into the next race. The unused blue truck will always be able to continue.

SUPER R-TYPE
Level Select - Go to the second title screen, hold the R button and press UP on the pad nine times. You will hear a tone that indicates the level select has been activated. Now press START and then pause the game. Hold the R button down again while at the same time depressing the A button. While holding both buttons down press SELECT. In the lower-left hand corner of the screen you will see a set of numbers indicating on what level play will begin. Press UP or DOWN on the control pad to select game level.
Weapon Select and Full Power-Up - At the title screen, press DOWN, R, RIGHT, DOWN, RIGHT, RIGHT, DOWN, RIGHT, DOWN, DOWN. You will hear a chime. Press START to begin. After the game has started, pause it and press R, RIGHT, DOWN, Y, DOWN, RIGHT, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN, RIGHT, and RIGHT. Next, select your Power-Ups: press A for a Ring Laser, B for an Air-to-Surface Laser, X for a Reflective Laser, Y for a Spread Laser or R for a Mega Bomb. After your have chosen one of these, press A for Homing Missiles, or X for Air-to-Surface Missiles. You can change these weapons at any time by pausing the action and entering the second part of the code again with different Power-Up indications at the end.

SUPER SMASH TV
Life and Continue Increase - Go to the player/skill selection screen and push the control pad down to the level of skill. Now, hold the L button. While holding the L button, press and hold the R button. While these are held press UP on the control pad. You will hear 'Bingo' and a lives and credit increase will appear.
Circuit Select - Go to the option screen and press RIGHT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN, R button, L button and you will hear 'Bingo.' Choose one or two players and START. You will see a stage select screen to pick your level.
Sound Test - Go to the player/skill selection screen and press the two top buttons on the controller in the following order: L, R, L, L, R. You will hear 'bingo' and then you will be in a theme music and sound select screen.
Speed-Up Mode - Go to the player/skill selection screen and press these buttons in this order: LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, UP, R button, R button and you will hear 'Bingo.' 
Programmer's Screen - To see the programmers' names, bring up the Acclaim logo and hold down buttons L and R. When the quill appears, also hold down button B.

SUPER TENNIS
Bonus Player Power - Choose any player character at the Player Select screen. While his or her name is highlighted, use controller two and press L, L, L, L, L, X, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, X. Now, you have a powered-up player.

U.N. SQUADRON
Extra Difficulty Setting - First, plug in the second controller. Then, go to the option screen with the first controller. Then, go to the option screen with first controller and highlight the difficulty setting. With the second controller, hold the A and X buttons. While these are held, change the difficulty with the first controller. Finally, you will see a new level called 'GAMER.'

WANDERERS FROM Y'S
Invincibility Code - Begin a game and press reset on your machine. When the American Sammy logo appears, utilize controller 2 and press UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN, SELECT and START before the company logo fades out. When the continue screen comes up, select 'continue' on controller 1 and go into any previously saved area. Press SELECT to display the option screen and then go to the status screen. When the status screen shows up, press START on controller 2. The word 'debug' should appear next to status. When you continue your game, you will be invincible.
Sound Test - When you are in the game, press SELECT on controller 1 to enter the command window. Next, press the SELECT button on controller 2. This will bring up the sound select screen.

WWF SUPER WRESTLEMANIA
Pin Earlier In Match - Get your opponent down to a little below half of his energy. Once you do this, and you get him down on the mat, press the X button to pin him and then immediately hold UP on the control pad while holding the Y button. The referee will count to three and your opponent will not be able to get off the mat. You can do this with one player against the computer, or in a two player game against an opponent, but it will not work with the Tag Team or Survivor Series.
