Firefight on the way to Dortmund

The P-38 proved to be less than a 
spectacular performer early on in the
war and it was withdrawn from the 
Northern European sectors of the 
European Theater of Operations.

Later on in the war improved models of
the P-38 arrived in England and once
again they roamed the skies over 
occupied Europe.

                Mission Orders

You must lead your group of P-38s on an
escort mission to the Dortmund oil
refinery. Your group will accompany
a group of B-17G bombers to their target.
Your group will also be assisted by a 
pair of P-47 "Jugs", so be careful at 
whom you shoot.

You must help the bombers fight their
way into and out of the target area. The
Luftwaffe will not be lying down on this
mission. You have been warned that this
is going to be a tough mission and it
will be no picnic.
