About 3DBingo PROJECT:
3DBingo is not just a new game for Palm Pilot Devices, it is a project.
The project �3DBingo� is unique. It's the first effort ever made, not just for PalmOS, but for Windows and MacOS , the Bingo games that are played all over the world to be systematized mathematically.
The Developer of 3DBingo disposes of more than 180 shapes collected within several months.

1.  Description
This is a unique game that never makes you bored. Why?:

2. Installation of the program.  ( read this chapter!!!)
1. Click on the Install Button of the Palm desktop application of yout desktop computer.
2. Install 3DBingo.prc;
3. Install PocketC.prc if you don't have it already. 3DBingo requires ver. 3.10  or newer of this runtime library. (New in ver. 1.4) The developer recommends using of the  new version 3.61 of the PocketC runtime library (included in 3DBingo.zip) since loading of the new game is about twice faster.
Once you have PocketC on your computer you can install various programs that you can find at www.palmgear.com, www.eurocool.com, pda.tocaws.com. At these sites there are sections just for PocketC programs.
4. Install how much as you want of 3DBingoGames.pdb files - the levels of 3DBingo (see 2.1 below for details).

If you upgrade to a new version of 3DBingo.prc or PocketC.prc  there is no need to deinstall the old one.

Beaming the whole 3DBingo application to casual partners.
Beam both 3DBingo and PocketC applications from the Menu...Beam of the Application launcher of your Palm device. Then select "beam Games&Numbers..." from the Title screen of 3DBingo. Complete this operation and beam the new generated memos 3DBingoGames and 3DBingoNumbers to the partner. When hi restarts 3DBingo 3DBingoGames memo will be converted to bingo games databases.

2.1. Installation of new Bingo games.
The 3DBingo.zip comes with 40 levels (shapes, games),  included in "bingogames" folder.

The levels are very small records (300-900 bytes of Palm RAM). The whole database will not exceed 40 KB.You can install  only the games you like.
20 Games free-to-try for Unregistered users:

Each game has its own description, pattern, graphic preview of the Bingo possibilities and JACKPOT( a sum than can vary between $1000 and $5000 and that is won before fixed number of calls). Click on Install button of the Palm Desktop application. You can select more then one database by holding down the Control Key while selecting games with the mouse.
Some games come with à pre-prinred game pattern, the others don't - for more difficulty.

The new games for 3DBingo will be posted regularly for advertising purpose at www.palmgear.com, www.eurocool.com,  www.handango.com etc.
The registered users will take a total of  62 ready bingo games. All future updates will be free for them!

3.1.  Tips for unregistered users.
Trial period of 30 days (for ver. 2.1).
There is no any  restrictions in functionality of the unregistered version of 3DBingo. Registration removes a not-very-nag screen that appears just once after the title screen. Only a part of the new 3DBingo levels posted at http://palmdepot.dir.bg/shapes and above mentioned websites will be available for unregistered users.

NOTE: If you are advanced Palm user you can miss reading the following instructions (except items 1,2,3). 3DBingo is a user-friendly program with a detailed on-line help.
Search for word "TIPS" in this document - there are plenty of good ideas.

4.    2P game � a game for 1,2 users with one Palm Pilot

4. 1 . The control screen . (Figure 1)
The Menu silk button of your Palm device, will invoke the Command menu.
The menu options are clear enough and will not be discussed here.
1. There is a detailed în-line help. Press (i) symbol.
2. Click on Name1 and Name2 textboxes to enter your name and the one of your partner.
3. In Checkboxes Player1 and Player2 you will mark who of the users is active or passive.
IMPORTANT: See  Item 4.2 below for details.
4. Speed radio button: Check Speed to define the seconds intervals for announcing a new number by the Bingo caller. 3DBingo is device independent application and the calls will be made at the same time intervals both on Palm III and Palm V( with accuracy of 0.02 seconds). Except for a speed of 1 sec./call  It is intended for fast autoplay of bingo only.
5. If you want you can change the game in �Now-playing� drop- down list. You can remove a game  from the Palm device using the Delete button and install new games.
FOR THE IR GAME: This control will contain a list of 30 IR games each with own unique S.N. (SERIAL NUMBER).
6. Each game has its own graphic preview, that can be seen in the small animations on the screen. Animations do nothing just beauty.

The buttons and the menus are clear enough.

4.2. The active and passive players. How to set up the game for 0,1,2 players.
The status of the player depends of the state of Player1 and Player2 checkboxes (see Figure 1 Item3)
The active users (checked box) will score with stylus the incoming calls by themselves on their Bingo cards. 3DBingo will score automatically their cards in case of unchecked players (passive).
To check the numbers you have to hold down the stylus on the card for a very little time, ultra-fast click will not work.
If the active user achieve bingo combination of his card he MUST declare it by clicking quickly on a BINGO line ( See Figure 2 Item1) of the winning card. This is the button trough which you announce your BINGOOOOOOO!!!!.
TIPS:
À GAME FOR 2 PLAYERS: Sit down comfortably, stacked to your secretary,  friend or wife ( this is one of the goals of the game). If you have no second stylus pen, your friend can use non-sharp plastic pen. Check the boxes Player1 and Player2 and the fun begin.
À GAME FOR 1 PLAYER: Even if your mate is far from you or he/she is not even aware of your feelings, you can play with them as much as you want. You will be the active Player1(check this box), 3DBingo will take care of your mate�s Bingo card. A GAME FOR 0 PLAYERS: The real fun is to seat in a bar watching two of your chiefs wasting their time and playing a bingo at your Palm screen.  Remove the checkmarks Player1 and Player2 and enter their names at Name1 and Name2.
 

4.3. The Preferences Panel (NEW in ver. 2.1)
Invoke the new Preferences Panel using the Menu...Preferences option or "p" button on the Game Screen during the game.
Check-boxes:
    1. sound effects - mark this check button and 3DBingo will become silent. If you want to mute completely the 3DBingo sounds, you should turn-off the System sound using the default Prefs application for PalmOS.
           Options for harder game:
    2. play without pre-printed game patterns - mark it, and you'll play all the games with pre-printed game pattern without pattern.
    3. the player is able to click on non-called numbers  - check on it and you'll have to play like in the real bingo hall using the real bingo cards. Nobody controls you!
    4. caller's speed - this radio button allows player to change the delay between calls dynamically during the game.
All the preferences will be saved.

4. 4 . The Game Screen . (Figure 2)

1. IMPORTANT FOR ACTIVE PLAYERS - THE BINGO BUTTON: If you see Bingo combination on your card click quickly on the upper line ( the word "BINGO")  of your card.
To have a bingo you have to have all necessary calls marked on your card and you must click on this bingo button.
    1a. Active players  should mark the incoming calls on his card(s) with the stylus (or non sharp plastic pen).
    The already checked box can be unmarked (new in ver. 2.1).
    Note, that you are not obliged to mark the all incoming calls if they are not included in the winning bingo pattern.
    To check on  the numbers you have to hold the stylus down for a very little time, ultra-fast click will not work.
2. The last call can be seen on the telly.
3. The last two calls can be seen on the screen.
4. All the numbers that have been drawn in the game can be seen on the information panel( as in a real bingo game).
5. The numbers are drawn by the old fashion 3D machine, that is taken from another good game of the same developer (3DLotto game&checker&filler- right now you can buy it with 50% discount!!! Try it. You can find it at Palmdepot website or www.palmgear.com).
6. (new in ver. 1.2) Play button has the same functionality like Pause button (Item 7 below).
7. You can always click on Pause button to fill in numbers that you have missed to mark
8.. If you click on (I) button you'll see the description of the game( it's very important in case you have paid the registration fee and you have à subscription for all 40-150 games) .
9. Stop the game - the unfinished game will be saved if you want to continue it  later. It  will be saved even you press Applications silkbutton of your Palm unit or any of the hard buttons.
10. (new in ver. 2.1) - the "p" button between "i " and "Stop" button. Not shown on the picture! It invokes "Preferences Panel" so the player can control Sound, Caller's speed and bingo mode even during the game.
 

5.  IR game � a game for 2-20 users, each with an own Pilot

This is quite interesting idea, because non limited number Palm devices can take part in the game. The same calls will be shown at the same time on the devices of all the users, just like in the real game. The infrared synchronization is made in the beginning of the game for seconds and time synchronization during the game is within 0.02 hundreds of a second and is done due to the unique algorithm of 3D Bingo.
The controls of the Control Screen and The Game Screen for the IR game are similar to those for 2P Game (See Figure 1 and Figure 2).
Each IR game has its unique S.N. (SERIAL NUMBER). If you play in a group check if your S.N. is the same like the the one of the other players. 3DBingo will remind you for that.
The IR game has 2 Bingo cards always. You can fill both them by yourself if you check both of the boxes Player1 and Player2.Uncheck one of the checkboxes if you want to take care of just one card. For auto-play uncheck both of the checkboses.
Step by step how to start:
1. One of the players is chosen for bingo Caller.
2. The Bingo Caller clicks at first �beam IR Numbers to others� from Title screen of 3DBingo and selects several games, that will be played during the IR game and 3DBingo generates 30 series of numbers from 1 to 75, shuffled by chance. This info is saved in two Memos- 3DBingoNumbers and 3DBingo Games. They are created in the Unfiled category of Memopad application.
TIPS: You can use this step standalone if you just want to beam some of the games installed on your device to other player.
3. Then the Caller beams through the Infrared port both Memos of other players. They must click on "Receive games and numbers" option at 3DBingo Title Screen before that.  The beaming  is done for seconds.
4. The game can start now. All the players click on �New IR game...� from the Title screen (not shown here).
New in ver 1.2: At this moment will be performed the FIRST&ONLY EXACT time sync between the Palm units.
A message box appears. All the players will click on  the OK button after caller's voice signal ("3...2...1..Start") at exactly the same time . This is performed just once for the all IR game cycle . Sometimes it is necessary to do this sync again about after an hour play. This can be done again from the "Menu...Perform new IR time sync" item.
Important Note: Each IR game has its own serial number (S. N.). The Bingo caller should announce it before clicking on the �Start� button on Figure 1. All the players should play with the same caller's speed (Fig. 1 Item 4).

5. (ver. 1.2 updated) When the playing field is shown all players click on a  �Play�  button (Fig. 3) to sync the start  and the game begins. The caller should synchronize the pressing of this button with a voice signal. Note that even you press this button 5-7 secs after his signal your calls will come at the same time like the calls of the other players. The bingo caller just can say "We starting on the next round".
The RULES- when someone has Bingo, he click on the Bingo line on his card as it's shown on Figure 2 and cry out loudly like in the real game. After the Bingo has been announced all the other players are obliged theoretically to click the �stop� button (Fig. 2), but even if they don't do it the rule is as follows: Those who have smaller call number when the bingo is announced, win.

After that 3DBingo downloads just the next S.N. IR game in �Now playing� and the game goes on.
 If anyone stop playing for some reason he can continue later by choosing in �Now playing� (Fig. 1 Item 5) drop down list the game that the others are playing at the moment.
5.1.  The Game report � the truth can't be hidden.
The Bingo maintains a detailed report of the results of the games that are last played. 3DBingo uses the default text output screen of the PocketC for that. It will save your results for days. The history  can be visualized just by clicking on the �Report� button (figure. 1).
TIPS:
By clicking on the Menu button in the �Game report� form you can mark and copy to Memopad the report of the games. Thus you can play 3DBingo even through e-mail. How to play:
One of you generates at first 3DBingoNumbers and 3DBingogames Memos and then send them to the other players. After you have played certain games you exchange your game reports through e-mail and by comparing them you choose the winner.
For live action: you can synchronize pressing of the Play button for each game (Fig. 3) by phone. Dont hang up the phone.

5.2. If the time synchronization of Bingo calls is off. Advanced IR time sync.
This can happen but not more then 2-3 sec for 50 calls. This can be adjusted. How:
1. Maybe you did not synchronize the pressing of the "Play" button (Fig. 3) with the caller's voice signal.
2. All the players in a groupe must select "Menu...new IR time sync" again.
3. If the problem continue for more then 1 game, just restart 3DBingo. Or perform soft reset. Always works.

The IR time synchronization will not work properly with the Emulator (copilot) application.

6. Memory restrictions. Known bugs.
1. While playing 3DBingo try not to switch to other application if there are messages at the 3DBingo screen that it is busy. This may cause unexpectable results of 3DBingo's data loss (rare!). This is not a big problem because 3DBingo always checks the integrity of its internal databases and will solve this problem in most cases. You can use the Menu...Quit item to minimize the chance of data loss.
2. 3DBingo do not control if there are more then one 3DBingoNumbers memos at the Unfiled category of Memopad. The result will be that you will not have the same S.N. IR game like  the other players. This can happen if you forget to click on "receive Games&Numbers item" before receiving a new IR game data from the Caller.
You can solve this problem alone: delete the unnecessary memos (with different SERIAL NUMBER=S. N.).
