: It's funny...I have the history of the Jews and Christians all written down in the Bible for me, yet to believe what these people say, who actually experienced these events first hand, is considered foolishness. No one questions the experiences of, say, the early settlers in America. We believe the history books even though we were not there. You will probably say, "Then, why don't you believe other religious writings?" I don't doubt the real, supernatural experiences of people of other religions, I just believe that what they are experiencing is not of God. They have been decieved by lying spirits.
We don't take Greek or Egyptian myths as facts either and they are older than Christianity, because of the unprovable nature of their claims. One's experiences of the world around one shape how one will perceive it. If you were to take someone from even 300 years ago and brought them to a late 20th century city they would be amazed at all of the magic that was around them. Most of us know that it is not magic, but technology. We know far more of what is going on then they could ever know.
