cdrecord is a command line interface for CD writers, and works on almost all UNIX boxes. It supports over 20 different CD writers and rewritable drives. Support for multisession is provided. An additional package (xcdroast) has a nice GUI interface. mkisofs (another separate package) is useful for premastering iso9660 filesystems.
