Expect Subsystems

Expect includes these subsystems:
fw_expect.sw.expect (default) Expect execution environment.
fw_expect.sw.example Expect example scripts.
fw_expect.sw.dev Expect development environment.
fw_expect.man.expect (default) Expect's online manual pages (preformatted).
fw_expect.man.example Online manual pages for the example scripts.
fw_expect.man.dev Online manual pages for the development environment.
fw_expect.man.relnotes (default) Expect's online release notes.
fw_expect.src The complete Expect 5.18 software distribution from which this product was built.

Expect Subsystem Disk Space Requirements

This section lists the Expect subsystems and their sizes.

If you are installing this product for the first time, the subsystems marked ``default'' are the ones that are installed if you use the ``go'' menu item. To install a different set of subsystems, use the ``install,'' ``remove,'' ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in inst to customize the list of subsystems to be installed, then select the ``go'' menu item.

Note: The listed subsystem sizes are approximate. Refer to the Software Installation Administrator's Guide for information on finding exact sizes.

Installation Method

All of the subsystems for Expect can be installed using IRIX. You do not need to use the miniroot. Refer to the Software Installation Administrator's Guide for complete installation instructions.

Prerequisites

Your workstation must be running IRIX 5.3 or later in order to use this product.

Preformatted manual pages are installed by default; consult expect(1) for information.
