  • What is mpage ?

mpage is a small utility to print muliple pages per sheet on a PostScript (an Adobe trade mark, I guess) printer. mpage is good for the environment (especially when combined with double-sided printing) and possibly bad on your eyes. Use at your own risk.

For example, to print 8 pages per sheet use:

    mpage -8 -Pprinter filename

To ease your eye-strain, the default is 4 pages per sheet. See the man page for details, or just try it. It is highly recommended.

Packaged for SGI by Ariel Faigon who is afraid emails for support would have to be silently ignored. Ariel wishes to thank Larry McVoy for offering to put this cool piece of software in the freeware project. Patches and constructive suggestions for improvement are welcome.
