WU-ftpd is the Washington University FTP Server. This is release 2.4.
wu-ftpd is a replacement ftp server for Un*x systems. Besides supporting the ftp protocol defined in RFC 959, it adds the following cool features:
- logging of transfers
- logging of commands
- on the fly compression and archiving
- classification of users on type and location
- per class limits
- per directory upload permissions
- restricted guest accounts
- system wide and per directory messages.

- cdpath
- filename filter

All of the subsystems for this product can be installed using IRIX. You do not need to use the miniroot. Refer to the Software Installation Administrator's Guide for complete installation instructions.
This software is compatible with IRIX 5.3 and IRIX 6.x.
