  • What is xkeycaps

    xkeycaps-2.29 is a tool to let you change your xmodmap files graphically.

    Installation Information

    xkeycaps-2.29 Subsystems

    xkeycaps-2.29 includes these subsystems:

    fw_JWZxkeycaps.sw.xckeycaps
    Basic software. Needed if you want to run this
    fw_JWZxkeycaps.man.xkeycaps
    Bash manual pages
    fw_JWZxkeycaps.man.doc
    README & other documentation
    fw_JWZxkeycaps.src.xkeycaps
    Bash source code. Useful only if you want to reconfigure/hack/compile xkeycaps yourself.

    Installation Method

    All of the subsystems for this product can be installed using IRIX. You do not need to use the miniroot. Refer to the Software Installation Administrator's Guide for complete installation instructions.

    Compatibility

    This software is compatible with IRIX 5.3 and IRIX 6.1.

    Configuration Files

    there are no configuration files for xkeycaps itself, although xmodmaps are created/read, which are configuration files for key sequences. see /usr/freeware/info/xkeycaps documents for more information.

    If you don't know what an xmodmap is, please read the README files provided with this release as well as the xmodmap(1) manual page.
