InPerson: A Video Conferencing Program

InPerson video conferencing provides the ultimate collaborative communications experience. Imagine being able to interact with even the most remote colleagues in real time, live on your workstation monitor.

Since InPerson is software based, it is possible to collaborate with InPerson users on platforms other than UNIX.

Launching InPerson

The InPerson icon is located on the Collaboration page of the Icon Catalog. From the Toolchest, choose Find > Collaboration.

InPerson offers you the effectiveness of a face-to-face meeting without all the time and cost associated with travel.

The number of conference participants is limited only by network bandwidth and CPU availability. InPerson adjusts to both automatically, or gives you complete control. InPerson was designed to keep network traffic to an absolute minimum. The amount of network bandwidth required by InPerson is affected by the number of participants in a conference.

The Whiteboard

The InPerson Whiteboard, the central focus of the desktop conference, provides a multimedia forum for sharing your ideas. The nice thing about this whiteboard is that you can save it as file on your system!
