Installing the Tutorial
You will begin this tutorial by installing the HTML documents and data objects that make up the Bookstore. You are encouraged to examine these files with the Document Manager and the Data Object Editor.
- 1. Set the
SAPPHIRE environment variable to the root directory of your Sapphire/Web distribution, if you have not already done so.
- 2. Enter the command:
$SAPPHIRE/tutorials/tutorial1/bin/Install
- 3. The Install script will ask you several questions. Press
Enter for each one to accept the default.
- 4. If for some reason you must exit, type
N. When you are ready to start again, you can restart this tutorial by typing:
$HOME/sapphire_tut1/RUNME.tut1
- 5. Once the installation script is finished, Sapphire/Web will start up automatically. Your project has been placed in the newly created directory
$HOME/sapphire_tut1.
