iCat Carbo Server and Server Plug-ins
iCat Commerce Exchange has been completely rewritten, extended, and renamed iCat Carbo Server. This robust application lets you deliver dynamic, intelligent Web pages and extend the power of your Web server. iCat Carbo Server merges your layout templates and template plug-ins with product information from the Sybase SQL Anywhere database included or the ODBC database of your choice. As a result, your catalogs can be richer and more up-to-date than ever before possible. iCat Carbo Server Plug-ins provide additional database connectivity and more.
New ODBC database support
Finished catalogs can now serve live data using the Sybase SQL Anywhere database included and some popular Windows ODBC databases. Support for ODBC databases improves catalog performance and provides compatibility with existing information systems.
Enhanced iCat Carbo Command Language (ICL)
The iCat Command Language has been renamed and enhanced with over 50 new commands that provide significantly greater power and flexibility. Included is support for full ODBC database access, conditional operators (if/then/else and while), arithmetic expressions, user-defined variables, and more.
