San Jose, Calif. -- January 27, 1997 -- MultiGen Inc., the leader in real-time 3D authoring software, today announced that Ray Homan has been promoted to executive vice president. In his new capacity, Homan will oversee all of MultiGen's day-to-day operations as well as continue in his role as General Manager of the SmartScene Subsidiary.

Before joining MultiGen, Homan was marketing development manager at Silicon Graphics, Inc. In his more than eight years at the company, he led a team in the development and marketing of Silicon Graphics' first billion-dollar product line, and led the introduction and marketing of new product lines both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining Silicon Graphics, Inc., Homan served as a financial consultant for Merrill Lynch and as an operations engineer with Varian Associates. He earned a bachelor of science degree in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering at the University of California at Berkeley.
