WebFORCE MediaBase streams media (audio, video) over a variety of network topologies (10BaseT, 100BaseT, FDDI, ATM) for playback on Web-based desktop clients including, PC's, Macintosh and UNIX workstations. The content management, operations management, and network administration tools make WebFORCE MediaBase a one-of-kind media server for intranet and Internet applications. A Web-based management interface, open architecture, unparralled scaleablity across a wide network bandwidth - 28.8 kbps to 8 mbps, and streaming to 1000's of concurrent users enables WebFORCE MediaBase to exceed the requirements of even the most demanding media serving applications.

WebFORCE MediaBase streams high-quality, interactive MPEG1, MPEG2, H.263 and proprietary CODECs (Real Audio, Real Video) audio and video to your Web-browser. The demonstration material included with this CD is to provide the "client side" experience of WebFORCE MediaBase. It only demonstrates the playback of a video asset, without the interactive VCR controls (fast-forward, rewind, pause) available in the WebFORCE Mediabase client player. While WebFORCE MediaBase streams a wide variety of media formats: MPEG1, MPEG2, H.263, over a wide range of bit rates: 28.8 kbps to 8 mbps, the demo asset is MPEG1 at encoded at 1.5 mbps and is played of disk.
