GEIS
GE Information Services (GEIS) is using Post.Office as one of the
messaging components for GE InterBusinessSM, GEIS's
new electronic commerce offering. GE InterBusiness provides a new
level of security protection based on open protocols for secure
business-to-business transactions over the Internet. GEIS’
new service combines encrypted session keys, mutual
authentication and advanced firewall technology. It is based on
standard Internet protocols and establishes a highly secure
pipeline through which users can conduct electronic data
interchange, electronic messaging, and electronic file transfers
-- the three key elements of electronic commerce.
Siemens Nixdorf
Siemens Nixdorf Information Systems AG, the largest supplier of
information technology in Europe, has a multi-year, multi-million
dollar licensing agreement with Software.com to resell
Post.Office and InterMail products worldwide.
Cisco Systems
Cisco and Software.com signed an agreement to jointly develop and
market networking technology to provide scalable dynamic Internet
address allocation and secure networked commerce. This domain
naming system (DNS)/Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
server software will be licensed for use in Software.com and
Cisco products. Cisco will also work with Software.com to jointly
develop directory software for configuring DNS/DHCP servers.
Collaboration will include work on open standards-based directory
APIs (LDAP), applications and upcoming software for advanced
network services including monitoring, tracking and billing
networked applications. In addition, Cisco has taken a minority
equity interest in Software.com.
BBN Planet
BBN Planet selected Software.com’s Internet messaging
products for use as the core electronic messaging server solution
for their new DiaLinxSM Service.
DiaLinx is a nationwide dial-up access service that allows
businesses to connect employees, customers, and business partners
to the Internet and private networks. Software.com’s
highly-scalable, highly-reliable messaging server software is
