Tracer's MAGNA series of jukebox management software offers parallel access to optical drives and jukeboxes. The MAGNA product line operates both 5.25" and 12" devices, and includes two file systems for WORM and rewritable media, each designed specifically to take advantage of the medium's unique properties. Tracer's WORM file system is a log-structured file system that provides a complete audit trial of all data, while creating the illusion of a read/write file system. Tracer's BIG file system uses rewritable media, and behaves much like a typical hard-disk based file system. Both file systems provide platter-spanning, hard-disk caching, and automatic media management.
