OptiXchange1300

The OptiXchange1300 is a 1.3GB, multifunction, optical disk storage solution. Transparent connectivity to the Silicon Graphics operating system is achieved without the use of software drivers. The optical disk "looks and acts" just like a standard hard disk. Normal operating system commands are all that are required to access times to less than one millisecond. Lossless data compression, with typical compression ratios of 2:1 to 5:1, increases the amount of data storage, decreasing the cost per megabyte.
