SyncSort

SyncSort is the high-performance, full-function sort product for IRIX. Specifically designed for environments where large amounts of data are processed, SyncSort provides a combination of speed, efficiency, the ability to handle a variety of data and file types, and versatile data manipulation features, such as selection, reformatting, and aggregation. SyncSort can speed many RDBMS-related jobs by (1) increasing loading efficiency when data is pre-sorted and aggregated; (2) improving overall processing time when extracted data is sorted and aggregated before it is reloaded or handed off; (3) accelerating reorgs. SyncSort also provides a sort accelerator for Micro Focus COBOL.
