Illustra 2D Spatial DataBlade

The Illustra 2D Spatial DataBlade module makes your database an expert at managing 2-D spatial information. The 2D Spatial DataBlade is a plug in module that customizes the Illustra ORDBMS to store, manage and query 2-D spatial data -- points, lines, polygons and other spatial and location data.

A set of over 200 functions is included to allow manipulation and querying of 2-D spatial data. A unique access method, R-trees, provides maximum performance. All of Illustra's DataBlade modules can be combined to support any combination of multimedia and complex data.
