SQL*Trax

SQL*Trax is the transaction log analyzer for Oracle7. By analyzing the Oracle7 redo logfiles, SQL*Trax provides audit reports detailing before and after image column values for every change to the database. For the application developer, these reports can be used for debugging, tuning, and auditing large or complex applications based on Oracle7. For the database administrator, this information can be used in many different database recovery scenarios, for example "undeleting" a critical row. This information, not available through any other source, is maintained at no performance cost to the Oracle RDBMS.
