Informix Illustra Image DataBlade

The Informix Illustra Image DataBlade module makes your database an expert at managing images. The Image DataBlade module is a plug-in module that customizes the Informix Illustra Object-Relational Database Management System to store, manage, and manipulate images.

The Image DataBlade module supports over 50 image formats, both color and monochrome. Examples of image manipulation include rotation, edge enhancement, and convolution.

With the Image DataBlade, expertise at managing images is in the database manager instead of in each application, and the hard part of image application development is already done. All of Informix Illustras DataBlade modules can be combined to support any combination of multimedia and complex data.
