HYPERtape

HYPERtape is a comprehensive software solution for multi-vendor, multi-protocol automated network backup and restore. HYPERtape provides automated, unattended backup of workstations, departmental servers and enterprise servers across networks and supports tape, optical disk and other storage media. It currently interfaces to over 30 different operating systems and supports Silicon Graphics IRIX as a server, a client and a backup node. The software can handle an unlimited number of concurrent sessions between any number of network nodes. HYPERtape can provide central control for network backup and also use any number of network nodes as backup nodes. The software makes available over 75 customer defined parameters to setup and fine tune the backup procedures of a dynamic network.
