XRT/field

XRT/field is the newest addition to the XRT family of Motif add-on components from KL Group. With XRT/field, Motif developers can now easily build data-entry forms with field-level validation many times faster than with the standard Motif widgets.

XRT/field can be used in existing Motif programs without changing any code because it is subclassed from the standard Motif Text widget. And, like the standard Motif Text widget, it is programmed using resources and the standard Motif and Xt routines.

XRT/field supports automatic validation (using masks, data types, ranges or pick lists), automatic conversion of entered values, separate edit and display formats, automatic scrollbars as well as many other features designed to make building data-entry forms easier. It can be used to create Combo-Boxes and Spin Boxes.

Like all XRT widgets, XRT/field is available on all leading UNIX/VMS architectures and can be integrated with all popular GUI-builder tools. There are no runtime or royalty fees for distributing applications built with XRT/field.
