The KAI C++ Compiler provides hand-coded C performance for object-oriented C++ programs by applying high-level, platform independent optimization techniques which benefit C++ users on SGI systems.

KAI C++ supports the latest C++ syntax features including a full implementation of templates and exceptions.

KAI C++ is link compatible with the SGI C++ compilers (both DCC and NCC). You can use all of your existing C++ class libraries with KAI C++, without recompilation. KAI C++ understands the common command line options used with SGI compilers, so it is easy to integrate into your make scripts.
