Diskus Digital Disk Recorder

Diskus, a real-time graphics disk recorder, provides an elegant interface to all SGI workstations for both video recording and remote control. Diskus offers up to 31 or 62 seconds of 10-bit CCIR-601 recording capacity. Optional component analog inputs and outputs are available. Diskus is capable of nonlinear random access playback of video segments. Ethernet and fast & wide SCSI-2 interfaces are standard. Diskus includes SGI VideoTools virtual control panel and RotoPhoto Adobe Photoshop plug-in.

Applications include: 2-D & 3-D animation, rotoscoping, graphics compositing, scientific visualization, and image compression analysis.
