Spectra 6000 Family of Disk Arrays

Ciprico's Spectra 6000 Series of Disk Arrays provide real-time digital storage and retrieval for Silicon Graphics and other high-performance workstations. With a single disk array, animators/editors may work with several minutes of video at the speed of 30 frames per second. Seamless integration with SGI workstations gives editors the flexibility to switch between different digital video applications and eliminates the need for dedicated-use digital disk recorders.

Spectra uses standard SCSI-2 disk drives. Storage capacities range from 4 to 32 GB per array, and arrays can be combined for additional capacity and performance. Spectra has hot swap disk drives and power supplies, ensuring 100% up-time with no loss of data.
