DynaText

DynaText is the leading SGML-based electronic book publishing system. SGI's IRIS Insight is based upon DynaText. DynaText accepts any valid SGML document and builds a dynamic electronic book that can include hyperlinks, tables, equations, graphics, audio and video. Users can write notes, create cross-references, print selectively, and cut-and-paste into other applications. End-users view a dynamic table of contents that enables them to easily navigate to desired information. Full-text searches can be conducted for individual books and for collections of DynaText books. DynaText books can be viewed on client/server networks or standalone workstations. DynaText runs on Windows, Macintosh®, and major UNIX platforms, including IRIX 5.2.
