Dataview DDA-500

The Dataview DDA-500 series is a multi-format digital data interface for Indigo2, Indy and Challenge S computers. Each Dataview adapter board can receive or transmit a single data stream at up to 270 Mbits/sec. Alternatively, options supporting up to five simultaneous data streams of lower bandwidth are available, provided the total aggregate bandwidth requirement is less than 270 Mbit/sec per DDA board. The Dataview DDA-500 series has been designed with a particular focus on MPEG2 server applications. By facilitating the connection of a Silicon Graphics server directly to a broad array of MPEG2 mulitplexer, encoder and transmitter equipment, the Dataview DDA provides the missing link in the end to end all-digital broadcast system.
