UniSoft Application Conformance Test Suite (ACTS)

The ACTS tests the format of ELF files for compliance to the ABI. This tool is aimed primarily at ISV's who wish to check that their application conforms to the ABI (Application Binary Interface) for MIPS. ACTS consists of two parts, a static checker and a dynamic checker. The static checker examines the ELF file and verifies that it conforms to the ABI for MIPS. The dynamic checker modifies an existing binary to insert interface checking routines; when run, it checks the arguments being passed to the system libraries and compares them with values specified in the SVID.
