FLEXlm (FLEXible License Manager)

FLEXlm is the de facto standard license manager used by hundreds of leading software vendors in thousands of products. Customers maximize their use of licenses when software vendors embed FLEXlm in their products, while vendors more effectively price and license their software. FLEXlm supports network-wide, heterogeneous software licensing policies and multi-tier software distribution. Its support for a wide array of licensing policies includes: user, concurrent, host, metered, consumptive and demo. In addition, products with FLEXlm allow the customer's system administrators to set policies to further control their use of licenses.
