Guide For Using Oligo

    Program Interface Oligo's program interface is separated into a few different parts, the looks of the buttons will vary with the skin that Oligo is using. However, these are the functions that will be made available in every Oligo browser.

     

    Navigating with Buttons - You can navigate with the buttons on the browser. If you're not sure what each button does, simply put your mouse cursor over the button and some information on what that button does will show up. For example:

    Resizing the Browser
    - Some browsers can be resized, others can only be resized on one side and some cannot be resized at all. This depends on the skin that is used.
    The side which can be resized will show a double arrow when your cursor is over the edge.

    Adding Favorites
    - You can add a favorite automatically by clicking on Add Favorite.
    Note: The favorite you add from here will have the same skin, browser size and position on the desktop that it has currently.

    - To add a favorite site manually, click on "Open Oligo Manager". You can customize each favorite site with various options.


    Program Menu
    • File
    ->New ->New Window or New Message or New Contact. This launches a new browser window, message or contact from your default program.
    ->Save As - This saves the current page.
    ->Open - This opens a page.
    ->Page Setup - Opens the Page setup properties dialogue box.
    ->Properties - Shows the properties of the current page.

    Edit
    ->Cut, Copy & Paste - Executes the selected action.
    ->Select All - Selects the everything on the page.
    ->Source - Shows the source code of the page.
    ->Find - Searches for particular text in the page.

    Text Size
    ->Smallest to Largest - Changes the font size to your preference.

    Navigate
    ->Back - Goes back to the previous web page.
    ->Forward - Goes forward one page.
    ->Home - Goes to the default page that you set as home page in your Internet options.
    ->Stop - Stops the current loading of the web site.
    ->Refresh - Refreshes the current web page information.

    Skins
    ->Set this as Default Skin- Makes the current skin the default skin for your browser.
    ->Reset to Bitmap Size. This resets the current size of the browser to the original size of the skin.
    ->Download More Skins - Brings you to the skins library.
    ->Skin name - Select the skin you want to use from this list.

    Oligo Options
    ->Set Oligo as default browser - Makes Oligo your default browser.
    ->Check to see if Oligo is the default browser.
    This checks if Oligo is your default browser every time you launch a browser.

    Help
    ->Contents - Goes to the help file for Oligo
    ->Quick Start Guide
    ->About Oligo - This shows information on the version of Oligo and whether it is an ad-supported version or purchased version.

    Print - Prints your current page.

    Work Offline - Sets to offline mode.

    Internet Options - Change your Internet settings from here.


    Import IE Favorites - Imports your favorites from Internet Explorer.

    Oligo Manager
    Oligo Manager is organizes your favorite sites easily and customizes them to your preference. You can access your favorite sites from the browser, Oligo Manager or from Oligo's tooltray icon .

    Functions of Oligo Manager:

    - Allows fast access to your favorites with one click.

    - Launches multiple web sites with one click.

    - Customizes each favorite site with the following options:
    a) Link options which includes the option to launch the site in a new browser window and a place for writing your comments for it.
    b) Skin options customizes the browser look for this favorite site from available skins
    c) Font and color options changes the color of the font, size of the text, even color of the background hyperlinks.
