  65. K-Chess Elite is a powerful and versatile chess program designed to
  66. help you play better. It is ideal for casual players, children learning
  67. to play chess, and anyone wanting to improve their game.

  69. K-Chess Elite has lots of features to help you play. See the pieces that
  70. have been taken, where pieces can move, who can take what, which move
  71. the computer recommends, whether checkmate is inevitable, and more. Set
  72. the board to a specific layout, rotate it, enlarge it, and change the
  73. set of pieces.

  75. Unlimited undo and redo is available, plus move hinting and replay,
  76. giving you complete control of the game and allowing alternate
  77. strategies to be explored. Print board layouts and move lists. Save
  78. games to disk and reload at any time. A variety of file formats are
  79. available, including the standard PGN file format which gives access to
  80. thousands of competition games played all over the world.

  82. Choose from one of three different move notations, and even customise
  83. the language in which those notations are recorded. Record details of
  84. the game and players, and add comments to any move.

  121. To install the program from diskette:

  123. 1. Put the installation disk into drive A:

  125. 2. Select the Run function from the Start button (in Windows 95/98/NT)
  126. or from the File menu in Program Manager (in Windows 3.1).

  128. 3. Enter "a:setup"

  130. 4. At the installation screen press <Enter> to begin installation.

  132. 5. When requested, enter the drive and/or directory to install the
  133. program to, or just press <Enter> to accept the default.
