  14.               Description
  15. Fast Find is a file finder for MS-Windows. A file pattern is
  16. specified by the user, such as "*.bmp". Fast Find then scans
  17. across drives and directories for files that match the pattern.
  18. The user may narrow the search to a specific drive and parent
  19. directory. Or even scan for files with particular attributes
  20. set. This feature is useful for tasks such as, finding all
  21. hidden and system files, or finding all files modified since
  22. your last backup (if your backup software resets the archive
  23. bit). Fast Find automatically detects your file extensions.
  24. It also lets you launch found files with a simple dbl-click.
  25. In addition, Fast Find supports three modes of operation:
  26. 1] Very Fast - Fast Find will "hog" the CPU, this will cause
  27.                long delays, and may slow or even stop other
  28.                running apps. Use this mode only when no other
  29.                CPU intensive tasks are running.
  30. 2] Fast      - This is the default setting. Fast Find will
  31.                occasionally yield execution to the environment
  32.                for the processing of events.
  33. 3] Slow      - Use this mode when you need to run Fast Find in
  34.                the background. Fast Find will routinely pause
  35.                to allow all other apps access to the CPU and
  36.                disk. This may greatly slow the file search.

  39. Fast Find 1.0 is being distributed as shareware. You may
  40. evaluate Fast Find for 30 days, after which registration is
