Welcome to the Telix Funkey Tool Box (FUNction KEY)! These tools are a
collection of SALT (Script Application Language for Telix) scripts
written by myself to make telecommunicating a lot more fun! They are so
easy to use, that documentation is hardly necessary. As you may have
guessed, these tools are ran from the functions keys...(much faster
than ALT-G!). How to assign each tool to a function key is explained
later in the documentation.
The Telix FUNKEY Tool Box
-------------------------
Here is a list of all the goodies that you get!
BEEP.SLT -----> Sends beeps (CTRL-Gs) to remote system
BLANK.SLT -----> Screen blanker
SHELL.SLT -----> Super shell script! Prevents "bleeding"
RUN.SLT -----> Runs any program you like
TFE.SLT -----> Edit TELIX.FON from within Telix!
SOUNDON.SLT -----> Turns speaker ON
SOUNDOFF.SLT -----> Turns speaker OFF
PASSWORD.SLT -----> Sends password to remote system
COMPILE.BAT -----> For all you lazy people!
INSTALLING TELIX FUNKEY TOOL BOX
--------------------------------
Installation is as easy as 1,2,3 (4,5 and 6!)
Press CTRL-ALT-DEL if you need help...
1. Run COMPILE.BAT. This will run CS.EXE and compile each of the
.SLT files into .SLC files - files that Telix can understand.
2. Copy the newly created .SLC files into your Telix SCRIPT
directory.
3. Fire up Telix. (Be careful that you don't burn yourself!)
4. Press ALT-K, and select REGULAR.
5. Press any function key. You can now assign any of the tools to
that particular function key. To do this, simply type
@<SCRIPTNAME>
So, if you wanted to assign PASSWORD.SLC to function key F1,
you would press the F1 key and type
@PASSWORD
You do not need to put the .SLC extension. Note, this feature
works with ANY .SLC file!
Finish assigning the tools to function keys, and save your set
up.
Try pressing F1. If you assigned PASSWORD.SLC, a window should pop up
and say "Password unknown to Telix!".
That is it! As you can see, installation is quite painless!
FAIR PLAY
---------
The source code for The Telix Funkey Tool Box has been included for you
to do whatever (within reason!) you like with. You can let them adorn
your bedroom wall for you to admire, use them as a paper weight, flush
them down the toilet, or even wear them!
Please do not do the following with them:
- Insult them (you will hurt their feelings!)
- Distribute modified copies (everyone will be confused!)
- Break them (how would you like to be broken?)
- Bend them (would you like to be bent?)
- Spit on them (it is messy!)
...in short, be nice!
REGISTRATION (I WANT MONEY!)
----------------------------
No! Just kidding! The Telix Funkey Tool Box is free! It is hereby
donated to all the souls to travel across Ma. Bell's domain...
Oh, if you use Telix on a regular basis, and have not registered,
please register soon! It is an excellent communcation program (as you
already know...or you wouldn't be using it!) that has a very
reasonable price tag ($44.00 CDN/$39.00 U.S.!)
Enjoy The Telix Funkey Tool Box!
