  1.                               F A L C O N  3.0 
  2.                      Air Mission-1 (OPERATION: War Monger)
  3.                              Air Strip Assault

  7. Situation: AWACS has picked up 3 large aircraft heading to enemy airbase A-1.
  8.            These have been identified as Tu-22 "Blinder" Bombers. Intelligence
  9.            has determined that the enemy airbase A-1 is to be used as in an
  10.            major upcomming assault on our forward base.
  11.            AWACS also has indications of enemy air patrols in the vicinity of
  12.            A-1.
  13.  
  14.            Overflights by reconnaisance aircraft have revealed that activity 
  15.            at the base has increased in preparation for the upcomming assault. 
  16.            The recon. photos have also revealed a large column of enemy forces
  17.            heading towards our base from A-1. A tank heavy company of Mech.
  18.            infantry has been dispatched from our lines to intercept this 
  19.            column. 
  20.            Intelligence indicates that the enemy column may be supported by
  21.            Gunship helicopters.
  22.  
  23. Mission:   Lead your wing of two F-16's to:  
  24.  
  25.                i)  Provide CAS for the advancing Mechanized Company.                                
  26.                ii) Bomb the Runway at A-1 using BLU-107/B munitions.
  27.  
  28.            Note: Targets of opportunity may be engaged if reasonable.
  29.  
  30. Execution: Fly to W.P 1 and proceed with a sweep towards W.P 2. Engage any
  31.            enemy forces found. 
  32.            ***Friendly Ground forces in area. Be Sure Of Targets.***
  33.            After CAS provided, proceed to W.P 3 and destroy Runway.(both if
  34.            possible).
  35.            Exit area via. W.P 4 and return to base.
  36.  
  37.            Friendly Aircraft in Support of Operation War Monger.
  38.            - 2 F/A-18 Hornets providing Escort for F-16 Flight.
  39.            - 2 Tornados to provide enemy Air Defence Suppression as well as
  40.              to provide additional CAS.
  41.            - 2 F/A-18 Hornets to provide forward CAP at A-1

  46. This is the first of many missions (I hope) which I am creating in Red Flag.
  47. I will try to provide detailed mission outlines which, I think, enhances the
  48. game play and adds more realism to an outstanding Simulation. Keep an eye out
