  2.   OK, folks we have the stats FINALLY.  First, I apologize for the 
  3. delay; however, we had a little trouble getting the program to 
  4. read them correctly.  Everything appears to be fine, now.
  5.  
  6.   To make this season go better from the start than last season
  7. we are asking that you do something different.  We want you to
  8. DELETE both your PLAYER.DAT and PLAYER.IDX files that you 
  9. currently have in your STATMAN directories.  Make sure you do not
  10. have ANY Rotisserie League rosters, stats, transactions, either.  We
  11. want to completely REBUILD the database from scratch.  If you have
  12. tinkered with STATMAN by adding the rosters, etc., we ask that 
  13. you delete them and let the weekly STATS build the database for you.
  14.  
  15.   You will need to keep track of your league for the first couple
  16. of weeks on paper....as long as it takes to get everyone on the roster
  17. to actually acquire some stats.  Once they get stats, STATMAN will be
  18. automatically updated with the new information about that player.
  19. Players on the rosters that are on the D/L will NOT be added to the
  20. database UNTIL they actually come off and acquire some stats.  All
  21. you have to do is do your draft, transactions, etc., by hand for the 
  22. first couple of weeks.  Once the rosters are COMPLETE, you can go
  23. back in and actually redo the draft INSIDE of STATMAN, then enter
  24. all the transactions, rotisserie rosters, etc.  STATMAN will 
  25. automatically update everything from the beginning of the season.

  27.   After you delete the PLAYER.DAT and PLAYER.IDX, go into configuration
  28. and make SURE the dates of the season reflect the following:

  30.      Season Start Date:  04/12/92
  31.      Season End Date:    10/04/92
  32.  
  33. NOTE:  It is IMPERATIVE that these dates are entered BEFORE your run the
  34. STATS into STATMAN.

  36.   That's basically all there is to it...go ahead and enter the STATS 
  37. automatically.  When you run it, STATMAN will STOP on each name and 
  38. tell you it's a new player being added...just hit the enter key all 
  39. way through.  Next week, it will bypass these players and ONLY stop
  40. when a NEW player is added.
