Zurk's Rainforest Lab Demo --- March, 1996

In three languages (Spanish, French and English) and
in the context of the Costa Rican rain forest, the
full version of Zurk's Rainforest Lab teaches
life science, math and creative writing to children
5 - 9. They explore the rain forest, classify
animals, take pictures and then write a story about
their experience, complete pattern puzzles using
geometry, or explore the rain forest with an animated
cursor cub.
Zurk's Rainforest Lab has received multiple awards:
"Only the Best" by ASCD (Association for Supervision and
Curriculum Development)

National Parenting Center
Excellence Award by educators at NAEYC (National

This demo of the trilingual version of Zurk's Rainforest
Lab (ZRL) requires that you have QuickTime for Windows
installed.
To install the program:
1) Double-click on INSTALL.EXE in the demo directory.
2) Follow the instructions on your screen.
3) To run the program, double-click on the Zurk's Rainforest
Lab demo icon in your Soleil program group on your
desktop.
Selection of languages:
The languages, French and Spanish (English is the default
language) can be sampled in the Puzzle activity. Just click
on the "Light Bulb" icon, then click on the hat in the text
box to change language. Click on the ear to hear it read aloud.
