  6.    Welcome To Passcode Encrypter V1.0,

  9. What Does The Program Do?

  12.    Passcode Encrypter can be installed on your Hard Drive or a floppy disk
  13. with sufficient space. It then restricts who can get access to various
  14. devices, programs etc.

  16. How Does It Do It?

  19.    Pass Encrypt is called up whenever your Hard Drive or Floppy Disk is
  20. booted up. It then asks for a Username and Passcode. These codes have been
  21. previously selected by you, so only you and whoever you have told the codes
  22. to can get access to the computer.

  24. Instructions

  27.    To install to Hard Drive:-
  28.  
  29. 1) First copy the PassEncryptV1.0 drawer to a Hard Drive Partition, say DH0:
  30.    (Change the drawers name if you want to hide the program.)
  31.  
  32. 2) Now go into Cli and type "Ed s:User-startup" (It is not recommended that
  33.    you change the 'Startup-sequence' file, but if you think you know what
  34.    you'redoing hide it in there!)
  35.  
  36. 3) A screen will open, this is your User-startup file.
  37.    Type in at the bottom of the list (If anything exsists.)
  38.  
  39.     "Dh0:PassencryptV1.0/
  40.      PassencryptV1.0"

  42.    and change any parts of that that differ from your setup.

  44.    eg. If you installed it in DH2: and renamed the Drawer 'Random.Files',
  45.    then you would type:-

  47.     "Dh2:Random.Files/
  48.      PasscodeEncryptV1.0"

  50. HOW DO I ACCESS THE PROGRAM FOR THE FIRST TIME?

  53. The Default Passcodes are:-
  54.  
  55.             USERNAME : Darren
  56.  
  57.             PASSCODE : Startup
  58.  
  59. After you have typed these in correctly, a menu will appear allowing you to
  60. add and change Usernames/Passcodes. A Maximum of 3 Usernames and Passcodes
  61. are allowed and any of these can be used each time you log on. The Codes
  62. will be saved under six diferent file names:-
  63.  
  64.          'Real'  'RealII'  'RealIII'
  65.  
  66.          'Reality'  'RealityII'  'RealityIII'
  67.  
  68.   Do not delete these, do not rename them and do not move them. If you do
  69. the program may no longer work.

  71. What If The Program Fails And I Am Locked Out Of My Computer?

  74. Reboot your computer with Workbench in the drive, go into shell and change
  75. your User-startup so that Passcode Encrypter is not called up. Or on a 1200
  76. simply boot with no startup-sequence and do the same.

  78. How Do I Register And What Do I Get?

  81. You can Register by sending either, A Cheque (Made payable to Darren
  82. Greenfield), A Postal Order or Cash for the value of £5. To:-

  89. You will then recieve Passcode Encrypter V1.2. This includes:-
  90.  
  91.    1) No annoying text pages like on the shareware version.
  92.  
  93.    2) An improved Alarm System, with a spoken, Intruder Alert warning.
  94.  
  95.    3) Welcome speech each time you log on.
  96.  
  97.    4) Check if anyone has tried to gain access to your computer while you
  98.       have been away by looking at the Unsuccesful Log On Attempts menu.

  100. And anything else I think of to include (I'm open to suggestions.) Also
