The Atlantic ocean lays between Europe and
Africa to the East and the Americas to the
West, it was possibly named after the
legendary island continent of Atlantis.
The average wave heights of the Atlantic have
increased by 25%, the largest from 12m (39ft)
to 18m (59ft).
