  5. Europe, being only 34km (21miles) from
  6. Calais, France. As England's principal
  7. cross-channel port, Dover's development has
  8. been chiefly due to the cross-channel
  9. traffic, which includes train, ferry, 
  10. hovercraft, and other services.
