  6. spectrum, and they are sometimes funded
  7. according to the viewpoints they represent.
  8. In the UK the Central Policy Review Staff, a
  9. consultative body to the government 1970-83,
  10. was known as the Think Tank. It was set up to
  11. provide cabinet ministers with informed
  12. background advice on major policy decisions.
