  8. cape. Basque and Norse fisherfolk are
  9. believed to have visited Cape Cod many years
  10. before the English Pilgrims landed at
  11. Provincetown 1620. It was named after the cod
  12. which were caught in the dangerous shoals of
  13. the cape. The Kennedy family home is at the
  14. resort of Hyannis Port.
