A. How to Get Started
The Quick Reference Guide will help you install and navigate through
the CorpTech EXPLORE Database. Instructions are in the Quick Reference Guide.
B. Known Problems
B.1. If you are printing over a network under Windows 95, switching
printers from within the application may not work for you.
To switch printers under Windows 95, use Control Panel,
then Printers.
B.2. When downloading ASCII text, the zip codes for companies located
in South Carolina, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, Washington D.C.
will not download.
B.3. Due to a size limitation in the sorting program, you may sort
up to 31,500 records at one time.

SECTION 2: GENERAL HELP and HINTS
************************************************************************
A. CD Performance Enhancement
A.1. To improve the performance of your CD-ROM drive, it is
recommended that you run caching software, such as
SMARTDRV.EXE, provided with DOS versions 6.0 and above.
Previous versions of DOS do not support caching of
CD-ROM drives.
B. Networks
B.1. The EXPLORE Database is network enabled. It is required that
your networked CD-ROM drive be mapped to a network or local
drive letter or a network directory. If you have any
questions about mapping please consult your Network
Administator or your Windows for Workgroups users manual.
C. Using the EXPLORE Database with the Internet
C.1. Before you can access the Resources Page from the CorpTech EXPLORE
Database, you must set the path to your browser from the
Preferences menu in the CorpTech CD-ROM.
C.2. The CorpTech EXPLORE Database currently supports any Windows
default browser.
C.3. If you are using Netscape Navigator«, depending on what version
of Netscape you are using, when you launch the application it may
load in the background rather than coming into the foreground.
Press [ALT] [TAB] to bring Netscape into the foreground, or use the
taskbar if running Windows 95.
C.4. CorpTech provides customer service for any problem or
question you may have relating to the use of the CorpTech
EXPLORE Database. However, for problems arising from the
use of an Internet browser or your Internet connection,
please refer to the documentation provided by your browser,
consult your System Administrator, or consult your Internet
Service Provider for assistance with Internet-related
issues.
If you are having problems, you may call CorpTech technical support between the
hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm E.S.T., Monday through Friday, at
1-800-333-8036, or e-mail us at support@corptech.com.
