■ MEDTXT version 1.0 ■

Welcome to the shareware version of MedTxt version 1.0. This
version of MedTxt is not public domain or free software, but is
being distributed as shareware for evaluation purposes.
Non-registered users are allowed to use this software for a trial
period of 3 weeks. At the end of this period if you desire to
continue to use MedTxt you must purchase a license by registering
the software.
You are welcome to distribute the non-registered form of MedTxt to
others as long as there is no fee charged in connection with the
distribution other than a nominal $5.00 fee to cover the cost of
material and postage. This fee does not constitute a registration
license fee to use the software. MedTxt must not be altered but
distributed as originally released and it cannot be incorporated
into other software, product or information being distributed, sold
or offered for sale. As long as these rules are upheld feel free to
distribute the non-registered version to all of your friends and
co-workers. It may also be freely distributed via computer user's
groups, software libraries, and electronic bulletin boards.
REGISTRATION
For a registration fee of $25.00 plus $5.00 S&H you will receive
MedTxt Version 1.0 (MedTxt10). The $25.00 registration fee will
license one copy for use on any one computer at any one time.

The NON-REGISTERED version of MedTxt contains about 55 medical
topics in Internal medicine that are organized under several
specialities such as Cardiology, Emergency, Endocrinology,
Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Hematology and Oncology, Infectious
disease, Nephrology and Urology, Neurology, Orthopedic medicine,
Pulmonary medicine and Rheumatology and Immunology. The topics
included are just enough for you to examine and evaluate. If you
then would like to register, you will be sent the REGISTERED version
which will contain about 100 topics in Internal medicine. Following
this, updates will be provided ONLY TO REGISTERED USERS at timely
intervals for a small fee. Each update will contain around 25-50
new topics. If you have registered you will be notified of the
updates as they become available. Eventually, you will have a
superb, comprehensive electronic medical reference that you can use
on a desktop or portable computer.
WARRANTY-DISCLAIMER-AGREEMENT
Users of MedTxt must accept this disclaimer of warranty: MedTxt is
supplied as is. The author disclaims all warranties, expressed or
implied, including without limitation, the warranties of
merchantability and of fitness for any purpose. The author will
assume no liability for damages, direct or consequential which may
result from the use or mis-use of MedTxt. In no event will the
author be liable for any damages, including any lost profits, lost
savings or other incidental or consequential damages arising out of
your use or inability to use this program, or for any claim by any

other party.
Although the author has taken reasonable steps to ensure the
accuracy of the drug information included in MedTxt before release,
drug data may change without notice and all readers are advised to
consult the manufacturer's packaging inserts before prescribing
medications.
Every attempt has been made to accurately summarize the medical
topics included in MedTxt. However, since medical information is a
constantly changing field, medical data in MedTxt may not be current
and transcription errors are always a possiblity. Because of this
the author cannot guarantee that all information is accurate or
comprehensive, and will assume no responsibility for the content.
The author disclaims all responsibility for any adverse effects
resulting from inadvertent errors in MedTxt or from any
misunderstandings that may arise after reading MedTxt. It is always
prudent to confirm any information in MedTxt by other means such as
reading the original article, other medical textbooks and consulting
any recent medical literature. Ultimately, it is the responsibility
of the reader to determine the best therapy depending on the most
recent authoritative information available.
The enclosed hypertext software (GRFBOOK.EXE) is copyrighted
material and is protected under copyright law. It may be used
solely for the purpose of accessing the accompanying documents and
information. Any other use, reproduction, or distribution of the
